Onion Steak with Mushrooms
Ingredients (for 2 people):
beef steaks (4 oz each) • canola oil • onions • fresh mushrooms • white wine or vegetable broth • chopped parsley • salt and pepper

Preparation
Heat canola oil in a pan and fry the steak for about 2 minutes on each side. Season the steak with salt and pepper. Take it out of the pan and keep it warm. Slice the onions and mushrooms. Saute onions in the frying fat until they are golden brown. In a small pot, saute mushrooms briefly in 1 tsp of oil. Add wine or vegetable broth, season with salt and pepper and let simmer for about 10 minutes. Garnish the steak with golden brown onions and sprinkle some parsley over the mushrooms. Serve with 1/2 whole wheat baguette or 2 whole wheat rolls.
